When can stage 1 and stage 2 cushions be removed?
The first stage cushion may be used from birth up to about 8 pounds or when the torso of your baby fully occupies the space between the crotch strap and the shoulder slots.  

Can pool noodles or tightly rolled towels be used to achieve the correct angle?  
Yes, a pool noodle or rolled towel can be used at the vehicle seat crease.

Can a car seat protector be used underneath the car seat on the vehicle seat?
All Peg Perego accessories have been tested and certified for safe use with Peg Perego products.  We cannot confirm whether other accessories are safe to use.

How do I adjust the harness height?
For all infant car seats, open the rear compartment door to access the squeeze release.

What is the correct harness height for my child?
The shoulder strap slots are located just below shoulder level.

What is the purpose of the Anti-Rebound bar?
To stabilize the car seat by preventing rearward rotation in frontal or rear-facing collisions.  The car seat rotates toward the front of the car as expected during the crash, but when the seat rebounds toward the back of the car, the bar catches on the backseat and halts that rebound.

What is the purpose of the Load-Leg?
Load Legs significantly reduce the forces on the baby's head and neck, thereby keeping your baby's brain and spine safer.

Can the Load Leg be used with a Stow N' Go vehicle seat?
Please refer to your Owners Vehicle Manual.

What if the Load Leg cannot reach the vehicle floor, it is too short?
Do not use the Load Leg if it does not contact the vehicle floor.  The Load Leg can be folded up underneath the seat.

Are the two different bases (with load leg & without load let) interchangeable with all Primo Viaggio infant car seats?
Yes

When using any of the Primo Viaggio 4-35 infant car seats, how should the handle be positioned?
When used with the base, adjust the handle so that it rests at the top edge of the car seat.  When used without the base, adjust the handle in the forward most position.

Where is the manual located for all infant seats, Primo Viaggio 4-35, PRimo Viaggio 4-35 Nido and Primo Viaggio 4-35 Lounge?
The manual is located back of the car seat inside the compartment.  The door needs to be opened.

Can the back of the car seat touch the vehicle front seat?
Your rear-facing car seat should be installed securely first and then the front seat can be moved back and/or reclined until it makes light contact.

Can I use the infant car seat without a base?
Yes, however, use and install this car seat without the base only if needed.  Please refer to your owner's manual for installation without the base.

What is the expiration date for my infant car seat?
7 years from the date of purchase.

Can I install Peg Perego car seats using both LATCH and the vehicle seat belt?
No.  Peg Perego car seats should be installed using only one installation method - either the vehicle's seat belt and car seat tether (if anchor is available) or LATCH.  Parents should always refer to the car seat user guide with any questions.

Where is the safest seating position to install my child's car seat?
The safest seating position for your child in any vehicle is in the back seat.  The center of the rear seat is preferable to outboard positions, as long as you can achieve a tight installation, because it is the furthest from a side impact.  It's important, however, to keep in mind that if you're not able to install your car seat in the center position, a properly installed car seat in an outboard position will still provide excellent protection for your child during a crash.  Make sure to check your car seat and vehicle user's guides for available seating positions.

Can I continue to use my car seat after it has been involved in a crash?
The Peg Perego car seat can withstand minor crashes without any damage.  A minor crash is one in which ALL of the following apply:

The vehicle was able to be driven away from the crash site

The vehicle door nearest to the car seat was not damaged

None of the passengers in the vehicle sustained any injuries in the crash

The vehicle air bags did not deploy during the crash

There is no visible damage to the car seat

Can I use my infant car seat with a Peg Perego stroller to make a travel system?
Yes, all Peg Perego infant seats fit or snap onto most Peg Perego strollers.  There is one exception, the Primo Viaggio 4-35 Lounge cannot be used on the Booklet or Booklet 50 stroller.

Can i use my infant car seat with other brand strollers?
Yes, with the purchase of our Universal adapter IKCS0026, all Peg Perego infant car seats will work with most of the Maxi-Cosi style strollers.

How do I know when my child has outgrown this car seat?
All Primo Viaggio 4-35 infant car seats are designed for children up to 32 inches in length and or up to 35 lbs.  The top of your child's head should not exceed the top of the seat back by at least 1 inch.

How to wash the upholstery?
Hand wash or machine wash gentle cycle and line dry.
